Description

  • Senior Project Manager to lead projects within the Children’s Services Transformation Programme across Social Care, Family Help, SEND and Education. which has been designed to meet the challenges of improving outcomes for children and young people and achieving financial sustainability through value for money. 
  • Examples of projects are Planning for Permanence, Commissioning, Families First, SEND, Education and workforce development.
  • Reporting to the Change Delivery Lead the PM will lead, manage and successfully deliver service improvement projects and workstreams that meet the agreed objectives, deliverables, outcomes, and benefits, including sustainable efficiency, cost control and savings, where appropriate.
  • The PM will also have responsibility for the development of data and evidence-based business cases, project initiation documentation and monthly high light reports.
  • The projects do not have a IT focus and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate successful delivery of transformational projects in children’s services with the necessary change management skills required to embed continuous improvement culture.

Working arrangments:

  • The initial expectation is for 3 days per week in the office.
  • Tuesday is the office day for the Programme. It’s initially 3 days to enable building raport with stakeholders and the service. We anticipate this can drop down to 2 days and in-person meetings when necessary.
