Job Description

  • This position is essential to the delivery of the Council's development management function and the statutory Planning, Development Management, function.
  • The position is covering one FTE vacancy and one 0.4 FTE vacancy.
  • Both vacancies have been advertised and recruitment to the posts was unsuccessful.
  • Interviews took place in January and February and ended on 14 February 2025.
  • While we successfully recruited to two other vacant posts (2 new starters arrived on 6th May 2025), we continue to have two vacant senior officer posts along with a vacant senior officer part time post (P04 - 0.4 post).
  • We intend to re advertise for both senior officer post vacancies along with the part time post again in Autumn 2025.
  • As such, this agency post needs to be arranged to ensure there is no impact to the delivery of the statutory planning function.
