10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (full-time)

 

Where is the assignment located?:  Minnetonka and Plymouth, MN (3 days Minnetonka, 2 days Plymouth; fixed schedule: Mon & Thu at Plymouth, Tue/Wed/Fri at Minnetonka)

Assignment Details

  • How long is the assignment?: One-year contract with option to renew
  • Is there potential for the role to convert to a full-time Client position?: Not at this time, but possible if a current Client nurse position opens

 

Duties:

  • Provide occupational health services including treatment and care to site population (i.e., First Aid response etc.) Manage a diversity of programs and systems.
  • Includes the management of all employee injuries and illnesses, associated workers' compensation cases, medical surveillance programs and protocols, logs and screenings.
  • Manage all medical supplies.
  • Coordinate Corporate occupational health and safety programs.
  • Conduct applicable employee training and participate in various site teams and Emergency Response.
  • Work with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and HR Staff. Work closely with all site employees, Managers and Supervisors.
  • Aggressively pursue a reduction in Workers' Compensation costs through effective case management, return to work and other effective prevention programs.

 

Years Experience: 2+years

Skills:

  • Injury assessment, proficient in Outlook, Excel, Communication, BLS

 

Education:

  • Minimum associate's degree and current unencumbered MN RN license Required

 

 

 

 

Will travel be required? If so, how often and where?:

  • No travel beyond the two assigned locations

 

What projects will this person support?:

 Injury management, wellness promotion, medical surveillance, AED checks, vision/hearing testing, emergency response readiness 

 

Candidate Profile

  • Top 3 required skills: Injury assessment and follow-up; Professional communication; Basic Life Support (CPR certification)
  • Top 3 preferred skills: Strong computer and documentation skills; Occupational health experience (not required); Emergency response experience
  • Certifications or education needed: Active, unencumbered Minnesota RN license; Basic Life Support (CPR)

 

Does the candidate need experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry operating in a corporate environment?:

  • No; clinical experience preferred (minimum 2 years)

 

What does a typical day look like?:

  • Daily tasks include BP checks, AED inspections, minor injury follow-ups, filing, communicating with managers, and supporting wellness initiatives

 

Who will they interact with regularly?:

  • Lead nurse, direct labor employees, supervisors, managers, athletic trainers
