Motion Graphics Designer

Description

Location: Hartford Office (Remote 2 day/in office 3 days)

Working 40 hours, 5 days a week.

Duration: 6 months (Consideration for extension)

Job description:

• The role supports video and animation production. Working with editing footage (including adding closed captions to meet ADA standards, integrating b-roll, talking heads, branded title/end cards and music).
• Animation workflows through storyboarding and creating motion graphics, primarily in 2D with bonus experience in 3D.
• Conducting image research and performing retouching/manipulation of imagery.

Responsibilities:

• Video editing production assistant responsibilities, including, adding closed captions and ADA standards, b-roll, talking heads, adding title/end card branding, music editing, etc.
• Image searching, retouching, and manipulation.
• Animation production assistant responsibilities, including, storyboarding initial ideas and animating motion graphics. Mainly focused in 2D animation, bonus 3D.
• Strong foundation in design principles like color theory, typography, and layout. History of telling compelling stories through unique creative assets and visual interactions.
• Design according to Client specific brand guidelines.

Requirements: 

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also able to follow creative direction.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• A.A., B.F.A., or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in Creative Cloud (i.e. After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier Pro).
• Would like someone with 3-5 years of experience in motion, social media and editing video.
• An exceptional on-line portfolio or demo real showcasing innovative design solutions.
