SR. Nurse Practitioner
Position Summary
- Established and productive individual contributor, who works under moderate supervision. Services are provided under the mentorship or supervision of a Site Lead or Health Services & Resources Supervisor and general direction of the designated physician (as required by law).
- Provides occupational health nursing, medical, and integrated services consistent with the policies, guidelines, objectives, and content of the Client Occupational Health program.
- Adheres to established privacy, safety, and confidentiality regulations.
Principal Responsibilities
- Provide acute episodic ambulatory care, consultative occupational injury/illness care, as well as health and wellness counseling and promotion for employees.
- Review clinical data, laboratory, and imaging results, initiate appropriate interventions, and/or referrals.
- Carry a patient caseload requiring a high degree of independent judgement and advanced skill gained through academic and clinical preparation.
- Provides emergency (first- aid) treatments to employees who become ill or suffer an accident on company premises, arranging for transportation to another care provider, if needed. Notifies all concerned.
- Provide subcutaneous immunotherapy for individuals in their maintenance phase as deemed by a treating allergist.
- Provision of travel health services for individuals traveling internationally requiring review and administration of applicable vaccines, prescription for applicable medications, and education/counseling tailored to the individual’s destination and medical history.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to create and maintain safe work environments and facilities.
- Coordinates the investigation of complaints or problems and takes corrective action.
- Acts as a liaison with medical providers to ensure patient adherence to billing policies and procedures.
- Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
- Participates as an active member of the First Aid/Emergency Response Team.
Understands and applies Client’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
- Decision-Making & Problem Solving Strong organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
- Must comply with local and state laws, and regulatory requirements. Must comply with limitations of scope of practice. Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA preferred.

- Site Company Management, Human Resources, technical and professional experts, wellness and safety
- professionals, supervisors, employees, vendors, and treatment providers
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Position requires inclusion into Bloodborne Pathogens program.
- Active participant of site Emergency Response Team
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- Certified Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Ability to dispense and prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Preferred
- At least 1-3 years of experience in occupational health, internal medicine, or acute care
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing and/or Case management
- Spirometry and Audiometry certification
- Working knowledge of regulatory areas (e.g., ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers’ Comp, STD/LTD
