Description

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working member of Client warehouse operations will be required to safely and efficiently perform job duties that include, but not limited to: material handling, forklift operations, process orders, load and unload materials from trailers, pick, pack and ship material, general housekeeping and other assigned duties.
  • This position requires proficient use of the loading docks system along with the ability to safely operate industrial equipment and complete all necessary documentation associated with the processing of orders.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Have a workable knowledge of math and write legibly.
  • Pass and continue to hold all certifications to safely and effectively operate forklift, transport loaded pallets f to storage and load or unload containers.
  • Accurately fulfill customer order requirements by reviewing order specifications, comparing completed order to specifications and loading container/vans such that all customer requirements are met.
  • Meet all quality requirements necessary to avoid Non-Conformances (NCMs) while fulfilling orders including avoiding piece count overages/shortages, broken pallets, damaged bags, shifts in transport, etc.
  • Meet productivity expectations including order fulfillment quantity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Be capable of learning and using the computer software system to fill process deliveries and maintain inventory appropriately.
  • Follows Client safety, sampling and loading procedures while filling customer orders.
  • Unload pallet trucks from vendor, inspect quality, verify BOL and move to pallet storage areas throughout the facility.
  • Report vendor, inventory issues to management.
  • Perform light maintenance as necessary to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Interacts with various vendors ensuring they are following Client safety policies.
  • Maintain inventory levels of storage racks, pallet inventory and associated production supplies making sure to keep stocking levels in all the departments.
  • Assist Maintenance requests to move/unload/load equipment.
  • Conduct-pre-shift inspection of equipment for safe and proper operating conditions.

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Empty trash bins daily to ensure proper disposal and organization of materials from bagging areas.
  • Keep area orderly through housekeeping and daily cleanup.
  • Signs BOL’s and ensures paperwork is delivered to front office.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience:

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, Inventory control, and chemical transportation and handling.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Complete safety and quality training as required by Client. Complete training and maintain Forklift Certification
