Title: Program Manager V – Messaging
Location: MPK onsite but open to PST remote.
Must-Have Skills
- Must be able to collaborate and be independent.
- Experience in complex consumer products, specifically someone that has worked deeply on product design (anything where they worked in a medium size company in consumer features)
- Experience in Design projects.
- An individual that can manage complex programs across stakeholder and someone who is coachable.
- Great operator, with clear communication. Must be able to communicate with designers as well as senior stakeholders and present.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Experience with technical projects – having a technical background.
- Has been responsible of supporting engineering teams 20+ people.
- Someone who has a technical background.
Role
- We’re looking for a program manager to help support the Messaging product team.
- This senior program manager will help drive horizontal program operations across the Messaging sub-pillar, be on point for specific usability projects that help our billions of daily Messaging users.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate horizontal workstreams across Messaging to improve the efficiency of the sub-pillar, enable better stakeholder management
- Coordinate usability projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical and design solutions
- Confer with product, designers, engineers, and marketing to discuss and align on project specifications and procedures.
Skills:
- Experience working on consumer features/workstreams with close design collaborations
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Strong knowledge of product development processes and execution to maximize efficiency of the team and visibility to stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- CW will be supporting the operational aspects of the role.
- CW will also support the messaging product team.
- The assignment will be a combination of helping with horizontal program operations as well as take on some point work streams and projects that are not so product heavy. Will have more direct alignment with the design and engineering teams.
- For the usability pipeline projects the team needs execution support.
- The CW will be leveraging data management to improve the reliability and ease of backups (from one device to another) and to provide support from an operational standpoint.
- The team is looking for a PM that is more focused on design.
- The selected candidate will lead product cycles as well as checking for steers and things of that nature.
