Description

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join Reagent group within our Therapeutic Proteins department. You will join our ongoing efforts to purify and biochemical characterize of protein reagents.

As An Associate Scientist, a Typical Day Might Include

  • Purifying therapeutic reagents and antibodies for ongoing therapeutic programs using standard purification systems and automated equipment
  • Conducting protein purification and characterization by liquid chromatography such as affinity, IEX, HIC, and SEC.
  • Doing protein characterization of reagents by Western blotting, SDS PAGE electrophoresis, SEC chromatography, spectrophotometry, etc.
  • Entering, analyzing, and documenting data of purified characterized reagents in LIMS and presentations
  • Communicating results clearly and concisely to manager and peers

In order to be considered for this role
  • you must have at least a BS or MS with 1-3 years of relevant working experience in biology, molecular biology, protein chemistry, engineering chemistry, or a related field.
  • Must have experience with PCR, sequencing, and protein characterization (Western blot, SDS-Page, etc.).
  • Strong background in protein chemistry is required.
