Description
1st shift role (8 hr on-site M-F) - (30 min unpaid for lunch).
7 am -3:30 pm but can have some flexibility to move to 7:30 am -4 pm, as well.
- BS degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is a requirement! The manager stated that there will be no leeway/exception on the degree.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Performs technical procedures in a laboratory under minimal supervision by applying standard scientific techniques and analytical principles.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducts daily water testing on incoming and processed water, including micro analysis.
- •Conducts sampling within the manufacturing site, including outside of the building.
- Perform in a multi-task environment where simultaneous testing will occur throughout the day in order to meet our customer's needs.
- Operate and assist in the evaluation, calibration and validation of analytical testing instrumentation.
- Perform basic testing of materials at a high level of throughput using the required chemical, microbiological, physical, analytical and/or sensorial methodology as required on ingredients, intermediates and finished products.
- Procures supplies and materials needed for laboratory testing.
- Makes calculations, analyzes data and prepares reports summarizing results.
- Input data entry into LIMS database and excel based applications with high attention to detail.
- Interpret data from routine analyses to validate materials meet specification.
- Engage in daily contact with key laboratory and plant personnel such as the Lab Director, other team members to understand the lab workload, priorities and other pertinent information.
- Performs specialized tests and procedures using basic and complex equipment.
- Confers with senior laboratory personnel regarding the procedures and techniques to be followed in conducting lab work and recommends modifications as needed.
- Communicates technical information both verbally and in digital or written reports that is understandable by technical and non-technical audiences.
- First Shift Role, working 8 hours, on-site, Monday through Friday.
Education requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
