Responsibilities:

  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing ongoing maintenance work order, completing corrective repair work orders and work orders originating from our technical community employees (customers) relating to facilities or process requirements. Day-to-day duties may include (but are not limited to):
  • Work safely knowing when to stop work to develop a safe way to execute repairs.
  • A thorough understanding of handyman activities including basic plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical, landscaping, painting, drywall, general construction, weatherproofing and cabinetry.
  • Complete thorough inspections of buildings to find safety or other maintenance related problems.
  • Complete Office Remodeling including basic electrical wiring, basic plumbing skills, furniture moving, hang TVs/Art.
  • Complete technical employee work order requests from troubleshooting electrical, replacing lights, fix doors, work on cabinet drawers, perform office moves, replace ceiling tiles, paint, hang dry wall, caulking, tile, plumbing, running ethernet cable, etc.
  • Landscaping, equipment moves, and other physical work is anticipated frequently with weights greater than 50#.
  • Versatility in completing whatever is asked/needed by our technical customers and other tenants.
  • Knowledge of building systems and standards that when applied would serve to reduce the risk of equipment failure or other future problems.

   

Experience:

  • 1-3 years' experience in facility maintenance or general construction
  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED
