Description

This role is based out of East Hanover but he and the entire team rarely go in to the office so we are open to a 100% remote candidate for this role.

For now the role is projected to last 6 months but it is likely that it will be extended.

Prior experience with customs reconciliation compliance is a big plus.

 

Description:

 

Customs Compliance Analyst - Work with the Client NA Customs team to implement efficient importation processes into the U.S., as well as facilitate a process to analyze customs value declarations for accuracy, and correct accordingly.

  • Heavily focused on data analysis, heavy spreadsheet Excel critical.
  • Good with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel.
  • Familiarity with global trade compliance a big plus, with import/export custom compliance.
  • Good with numbers/understanding of basic accounting principles-
  • Experience with customs reconciliation compliance import/export
  • Adaptability to systems, to independently generate reports by following instructions
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information

 

Job tasks:

  • Communicate with customs brokers/Client Customs team members to review import transactions for accuracy and completeness
  • Work to adjust the value of high volume of Client imports, that will be reported to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP)
  • Compile lists of packaging suppliers/number of SKUs/value of merchandise from Client Procurement
  • Update Client extensive list of imported items, adding separate packaging details for future use when imported
