Description
The Natural Infrastructure Assistant will support the delivery of the Natural Infrastructure Network.
- The balance of work will be determined by the overall priorities of the Team and Service, although the post is designed to offer maximum flexibility in the deployment of resources in order to meet evolving business needs and offer staff development opportunities.
- This Seasonal role will support the delivery of a Ranger Service for the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park to engage and provide learning opportunities for the public, support and oversee practical activities enhancing the landscape, nature and maritime heritage and people’s connection with it.
- The role will be 50% office based administration including: supporting our PSNMP volunteers by uploading activities and events that they can support, answering questions about events and helping to administer ticketing for ranger events.
- 50% outdoors including: supporting the delivery of activities and events at Tinside Lido, Mount Batten and Mount Edgcumbe as well as practical conservation at sites including: Ernesettle Creek, Kinterbury Creek and Firestone Bay.
Knowledge and experience of good health and safety practice
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience of working towards targets
- An interest of working within the green sector and helping connect others to nature and PSNMP

- The ability to act as an ambassador for client and PSNMP while at work, and reflect this in behaviour, appearance and attitude.
- The ability to attend work punctually and keep colleagues informed of whereabouts when lone working.
- The ability to work flexibly with regard to working hours and duties when required.
Some weekend work and flexibility around work patterns will be required.
