Overview

  • The Creative Project Manager is the glue of the department—owning the flow of work, connecting the right people at the right time, and ensuring every creative initiative moves forward with clarity and care.
  • As the key liaison between the Creative team and crossfunctional partners, this person balance’s structure and flexibility, process and people, urgency and excellence.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing creative workflows from intake to delivery—building schedules, overseeing reviews, flagging barriers and supporting resource planning across digital, print, and production-based projects.
  • You’ll also manage the department’s core systems (Asana, DAM, proofing tools), provide administrative support, and help maintain the momentum of a fast-moving, culturally grounded creative team.
  • This is not just a traJic role—it’s a leadership role in how we move, communicate, and execute.

Core Responsibilities Project Ownership & Execution

  • Lead day-to-day project management of creative deliverables—briefs, timelines, reviews, and final routing
  • Ensure all requests are captured, scoped, and prioritized in Asana with appropriate owners and deadlines
  • Proactively identify blockers or bandwidth challenges and work with leads to solve in realtime
  • Collaborate with Creative Managers to ensure smooth execution, especially during high volume moments
  • Assist in production coordination and associated design needs

 Systems & Process Management

  • Own the department’s operational tools: Asana (project tracking), DAM (asset management), and our proofing system
  • Maintain folder structures, naming conventions, and documentation for easy access and version control Write and update process documents that clarify how we work, who owns what, and how projects move
  • Monitor progress against deadlines and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of internal process and creative agency workflows

Cross-Functional Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Creative team and internal departments (Brand, Digital, Sales, Innovation, etc.)
  • Communicate project status, feedback loops, and timing expectations to all relevant partners
  • Support vendor coordination and external partner communication when needed (e.g., printers, freelancers)
  • Help manage key meetings: weekly check-ins, campaign syncs, and creative reviews

Departmental Support

  • Support the Creative Director with administrative needs including scheduling, team checkins, calendar coordination, and internal organization
  • Track departmental resourcing and assist with capacity planning and priority setting
  • Champion a culture of clear communication, timely feedback, and shared momentum Oversee the invoicing process for external agencies and freelancers

 Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in project management, traJic, or operations roles within a creative or marketing team
  • Highly proficient in project management tools (Asana required), proofing platforms, and DAM systems
  • Deep understanding of creative workflows and how to support them without micromanaging
  • Strong communicator with an ability to translate across teams—designers, marketers, strategists, and leadership
  • Detail-obsessed, solutions-focused, and comfortable juggling multiple timelines at once Bonus: Experience with production timelines (print or photo), vendor management, or basic design tools
