Night shift C-Shift 6pm – 6am (Let’s scout for this shift with the understanding that the candidate will need to be flexible).

Convert: Yes, after 90, but not guaranteed.

Continuous Work Schedule (Work Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Work Saturday, and Sunday for a total of 48 hours then Off Monday and Tuesday, Work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Off Saturday and Sunday for a total of 36 Hours).

  

What we are looking for in a Technician:

  • Maintenance Technician for Corrugator line that includes Agnati Single facer, Wolverine Printing Press, Ink Jet Printer, Agnati Double Backer, WPM Rotary Die Cutter, Arpac Wrapper, Label Aire labeler, Alliance Load Former, Mosca unitizer, Balemaster Baler, and Blapco Shredder. Troubleshooting , PM, and repair knowledge/skills required.
  • Criteria : 3-5 years of experience : Maintenance Tech : install, troubleshooting, repair and PM : Agnati Corrugator would be a plus, not required, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic and knowledge of PLC. PLC programming a plus. Technical School or Associates preferred. MUST HAVE : troubleshooting and repair.

   

Summary:

  • Client is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician.
  • This position conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

 

 Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
  • Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Advises operators of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components. Must have functional tools.
  • Informs appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Maintain housekeeping.

  

Education and related work experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
  • Certificate in applied electrical maintenance and/or associate degree in Electronics.
  • Any combination of related work experience.
  • Prior work experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility.

  • Criminal background and drug screen check required for hire.

 

Technical skills, knowledge & abilities:

  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.
