Job Description
This role will work on the EE Services team, and have a primary focus on ECAD schematic capture and layout, with secondary focuses on documentation release, lab support work, and test execution. They will be trained on our WindChill documentation system. Tasks may change often as this is a service role, supporting the greater R&D organization.
Experience: 1-3 years’ experience
Skills: using Altium software, and have experience working with engineers in interpreting requirements and translating them into PCBA designs. Layout & Schematic, Oracle, PASS, Aligro/ Proficient computer skills including (MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
Must-Haves/Primary Focus
- Schematic and LayOut; Or
- Experience with ECAD tools, preferably Altium, to capture and document product design
- Experience in adapting existing designs to satisfy specific design requirements
- Experience with software and hardware tools to support the engineering processes
- Experience with Change Order processes to maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design
- Prepare and process engineering changes
- Review available information to determine the need for design changes
Nice-To-Haves/Secondary Focus
- Hand soldering ability to assemble PCBA’s
- Use hands-on approach for building and evaluating prototypes
- Perform specific design modifications to comply with current design conditions
- Develop test equipment and test procedures for test and evaluation
- Execute test protocols to evaluate the design of product or portions of the product
- Document the results of tests and evaluations
- Use formal problem-solving techniques to identify root causes of problems and to verify solutions
Education: HS Diploma
Description:
- Creates graphs, charts, schematics and two and three dimensional drawings for use in technical reports for technical documents and presentations.
- Knowledge of of standard concepts, practices, and procedures with a particular field.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish projects.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision and direction.
- Proficient computer skills including (MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). 1-3 yrs. Exp.
