Role Overview:

This role focuses on testing, assembly, and troubleshooting vehicle-mounted refrigeration systems. The Technician will perform complete unit testing, support product validation, and work closely with engineering to provide feedback on design and performance. Candidates should have a strong mechanical/electrical foundation, with a preference for refrigeration or automotive backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete unit testing on refrigeration/vehicle-mounted systems.

  • Assemble, service, and validate refrigeration units and components.

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems (low & high voltage).

  • Review engineering drawings, identify issues, and provide feedback.

  • Assist in the design/build of test fixtures.

  • Install and test new product designs; provide improvement suggestions to engineering.

  • Deliver accurate test results and maintain safety standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on product and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree/diploma in Refrigeration (preferred) OR Diesel/Mechanical Engineering.

  • Automotive industry background with exposure to vehicle systems (preferred).

  • 3+ years relevant industry experience (Associate’s degree is acceptable).

  • Refrigerant license preferred (or ability to obtain after hire).

  • Hands-on experience diagnosing/troubleshooting refrigeration, AC, or vehicle systems.

  • Prior testing experience with mechanical or vehicle components is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to car/dealership industry is an added plus.

  • CAD knowledge helpful but not required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Key Competencies:

  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of refrigeration, AC, diesel engines, and vehicle systems.

  • Safety and risk awareness (EHS compliance).

  • Detail-oriented with ability to deliver timely, accurate results.

  • Willingness to learn; open to training for the right candidate.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and innovative problem-solving.
