Description

Must have a licenced pharmacist in Illinois

This will be an ASAP start Please make sure your candidate is able to start asap

Onsite role

Training period: 1 month (First 2 weeks timings will be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and next 2 weeks timings 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Mon - Fri (7:0 AM -7:30 PM)

Shift starts at 7:00 Am, 9:00 AM and 11:00 am (8 hours work)

Should have experience less than 10 yrs
  • Bachelors or masters or Pharma D will work but should have a pharmacist licence
  • Detail oriented
  • No OT unless there is a business need
  • Taking any calls (inbound or outbound) (this happens very later down the road one the candidate is well versed will the role)
  • Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals.
  • Please make sure to put licence number on resume
  • Verifying the prescription elements
  • No work on sat or sun
  • During holidays week like Christmas there will be 32 hours week
  • Pharmacist with no exp will work only if they have a licence of Illinois sate
  • Retail Pharmacy experience

Main priorities:

  • Must be licensed
  • Experience in retail/mail order/specialty preferred but not required
  • Ambitious and looking to grow/learn
  • Comfortable with contractor pay structure

What shift? Any 8hr shift between 7 am to 7:30 pm, it will rotate every 2 weeks

Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required?

  • Mon-Friday – 8 hour shift.
  • Shifts will be in increments of 8.5 hrs. with 30min lunch and can vary from 7am to 7:30pm i.e., 7-3:30, 9-5:30, 11-7:30 Over time is not required, however we do offer upon business needs
  • 8-4:30 training schedule
  • Rotating schedule every 1 week.

Description:

  • Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
  • Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
  • Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage or pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
  • Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
  • Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
  • 4-7 years of experience.

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

  • 4-7 years of experience
  • Candidates MUST be comfortable being on their feet all day. No heavy lifting, however, they will be pushing carts that may be heavy - no more than 30lbs.

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?

  • MUST be Licensed in IL
  • Retail Pharmacy experience (i.e. CVS, Walgreens, Target etc)
  • Multi-tasking
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Self-motivating

Additional Notes:

 

How much time will be spend pushing carts? Is the environment they will be working in a distribution center/warehouse? Not much time, maybe every few hours (3 to 4) – they may have to push 1 cart. They will be working in a distribution area.

Will they be interacting with patients and/or providers? Not initially, but possible in the future

Would you consider a candidate who has industrial pharmacy background rather than experience in retail – if they have handled high volume orders? Yes (mail order)

Note that hours could be anytime between 6am and 10pm (usually 8 hour shift)
