Position Title: Biologist II
Length of Contract: one year
- The Client seeks a talented scientist to develop advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the bioanalysis of various molecular formats, such as peptides and proteins.
- The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative, high-resolution mass spectrometry-based methods for peptide mapping and intact protein analysis.
- Responsibilities include sample preparation for mass spectrometry and other related analytical techniques, such as Western blotting, SEC-MALS, ELISA, and spectroscopic methods.
- The candidate will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS.
What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position:
- Basic understanding of LC-MS, SEC_MALS, Western blotting and other protein characterization techiques
- Sample handling and preparation of sample for peptide mapping and proteomics
- Basic instrument operation and maintenance.
- Documentation : Accurate record-keeping of experiments and results
- Data analysis and interpretation of the data.
Education
- Bachelors degree, Masters preferred. PhD would be overqualified.
