Description
SHIFT: 11PM-7:30AM
Required education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor functions of equipment and operate per documented procedures including maintaining operational logbooks
- Provide technicians with symptoms of equipment failures, when required
- Support material handling as necessary
- Maintain segregation of materials and lot and or receiving numbers
- Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition
- Adhere to and demonstrate compliance to all company and department standard operating procedures including but not limited to: GMP, device history record, hazard communication and safety rules
- Utilize written procedures and training to accomplish tasks noted above
- Accept full accountability for product quality
- Report to supervisor or management unsolved problems encountered during the workday
- Maintain complete and accurate records of work-in-process, component inventories and relative documentation
- Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Machine Operator will ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing equipment according to established specifications, and standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- An operator must demonstrate steady progress in learning all equipment and jobs in the assigned manufacturing area.
- He and or she must also exhibit the ability to follow instructions of supervisor while observing the quality of raw and finished goods before, during and after production.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Candidate must be able to stand to package and label product.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the production line. Candidate will not be responsible to run or operate the production line.
- Support material handling as necessary. Does not required use of forklift or power jack.
- Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 20 pounds
- Candidate supporting a closed production line. No physical contact with hazardous materials or chemicals.
- Safety glasses, hair nets and gloves provided. Candidate must provide steel or composite shoes/boots.
- Must be able to adhere to shift start times and with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Prior manufacturing experience not required. Training will be provided.
Operator Level 1 Responsibilities:
- Working on the production line, specifically on two bottling lines.
- Loading raw materials into hoppers.
- Packing sealed tray units into boxes.
- Operating box sealers and labelers.
- Entry-level position with tasks like filling hoppers, packing out, and loading trays into tray packers.
Machine Operation Experience:
- CNC Swiss lathe experience is considered transferable, but the position may be too low-paying for candidates with such backgrounds.
- Preference for candidates with machine operation experience, but flexibility and cross-training are emphasized.
Transferable Skills:
- High volume regulated assembly, quality, or test experience can be transferable if the candidate has some machine operation experience.
- The fast-paced nature of the work is a common challenge for candidates.
Raw Materials:
- The raw materials loaded into hoppers are for the end product of thin preps.
Requirements:
- Experience in running production lines or machinery.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (machines run at 185 parts per minute).
Shift Details:
- Currently hiring for the third shift.
- New hires train on the first shift before moving to the third shift due to the lack of a third shift supervisor.
Experience Requirements:
- Candidates from various manufacturing backgrounds are acceptable, including automotive and aerospace.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FDA) is preferred but not required.
- All new hires undergo extensive training on company-specific procedures.
