Chemistry Technician

Job Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to established procedures and protocols.
2. Prepare standards, reagents, and quality control samples.
3. Handle and log various sample types (e.g., air, water, milk, and vegetables) in Laboratory Management Systems (LMS).
4. Conduct pre-sample preparations for testing.
5. Utilize computer applications such as MS Word and Excel.
6. Demonstrate eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
7. Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related STEM field.
• Experience:
• • Minimum: No experience required.
  • Preferred: 2 years of Chemistry Technician experience and/or sample collection experience, ideally within the utility industry.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of analytical testing or environmental sample collection.
• Background in environmental work is a plus.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear facilities/plants.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Work Environment:

• Team Size: Small team.
• Laboratory Settings: Oil and/or environmental laboratory.
