Description

Summary

  • Client has an opportunity for an industry experienced B.S./M.S. (plus 10 years) level scientist in our Cell Line Development (CLD) group at our Foster City campus facility.
  • We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to design and execute experiments to support targeted integration and cell line development for our rapidly growing biologics pipeline.
  • The successful candidate will also contribute to the overall strategy of new technology development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency with CHO cell culture.
  • Ability to manage high-throughput cell culture screens (5,000 clonal cell lines simultaneously).
  • Experience with single cell cloning, hitpick, and scale-up of suspension cell lines.
  • Registration of cell lines in Client electronic notebook and documentation of cell growth metrics.
  • Onsite role with 100% in-lab focus for cell culture execution.
  • Willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
  • Contribute to written technical reports, Regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • B.S/M.S. and ?10 years, Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).
  • Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and adhere to timelines.
  • Ability to think critically and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
