Job Description
- The role involves scanning of histological slides, processing slides using digital pathology applications, generating and analyzing precise data and ensuring timely and reliable delivery of results.
- Responsibilities include quality assurance, data storage management, and assisting in sample sourcing, while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
- The candidate will support pathology staff, apply scientific principles, learn new techniques, and maintain laboratory efficiency under supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality histological scans and manage data storage.
- Perform quality assurance on digital pathology outputs for accuracy and reliability.
- Run digital pathology applications on scanned slides, ensuring results are delivered to pathologists before or alongside glass slides.
- Compile results into formats suitable for reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with pathology and computational toxicology teams to support operations and workflow integration.
- Adhere to corporate standards for conduct, safety, and compliance (code of conduct, GxP, etc.).
- Assist in wet lab processes and sample retrieval for digital evaluation.
- Follow experimental protocols fully and assess results with guidance.
- Report experimental variances.
- Apply basic scientific principles to research activities.
- Learn and implement new protocols or techniques effectively.
- Maintain and optimize laboratory equipment and operations.
Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. Biology/ Chemistry or related field, with 0-1 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience within a histology/ pathology laboratory. Prior experience of slide scanning and/or image analysis.
