Shift: 5:45am-3pm Monday-Friday

Major Function
- This is a clerical position in a Recycling facility responsible for the operation of the truck scale for both inbound and outbound loads and all work associated with that
Essential Function
- Operates scale to weigh in and weigh out both inbound and outbound loads for both commercial and private vehicles – requires constant standing and moving over long periods of time.
- Provides paperwork for all inbound and outbound
- Makes entries on daily logs for both inbound and outbound trailer loads and ensures accuracy
- Responsible for entering and completing scale tickets in WeighWiz
- Answering calls that come into the plant and provide excellent front line customer service
- Provides information, responds to inquiries, co-workers and other departments, in person, on the phone or by two way radio
- Maintains various files on a daily basis
- Generates various reports when requested by both employees and customers
Once the basic functions of this position are learned other duties will be assigned such as AP and AR back-up
Education, Experience & Skills
Education
- High school diploma or General Education degree (GED)
Experience
- Customer service and computer experience is a necessity
- Basic math skills
- Ability to multi-task with various interruptions
- Ability to prioritize and complete daily tasks
- MS Excel & MS Outlook experience
- Any experience with waste hauling, hauling, or trucking indistry background is a plus
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to use written and verbal communication
Specialized Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with customers
- Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures; computer and office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in an atmosphere with frequent interruptions
- Ability to learn, retain and apply a variety of department specific information
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
