As a contractor of Technical Group supporting specifically the Global Equipment Platforms Organization, the Reliability Engineer will establish and follow procedures to test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical systems.

  • This role will also compare the physical and functional characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and systems to technical specifications for the purpose of identifying defects.
  • Experience and interest in data analytics and creating business friendly reports are important.
  • Strength in analytical thinking along with being an excellent communicator is key.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Reliability Engineering

Length of Contract: 18 months

Experience:

  • Minimum education is a bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technology company.
  • At least three, preferably 5 years of experience with complex systems that includes electronics, software, fluid and mechanical components.
  • Must have a minimum of two years working as a reliability, quality or test engineer in a PLM environment.

Scale/Scope/Duties:

  • Support the Senior Reliability Manager in the development and execution of the strategy to integrate DFR (design for reliability) throughout the equipment development cycle, from initial concept through market launch.
  • Identify failures during reliability integration testing, and be able to troubleshoot down to the specific mechanical or electrical root cause of failure
  • Design and build test fixtures that automate simple mechanical test functions
  • Must have basic computer programming experience; Needed for Programming Robots for testing
  • Create reliability data reports (SQL, MS Excel)
  • Give input on and execute reliability and qualification test plans
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal/listening and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, SQL
