Description

M-F start and end time somewhat flexible around 8am-4pm/7-3/9-5. Start ASAP, two year assignment.

  • Manager is open to Bachelors Degree with 8-10 years experience, Masters with 4-5 years exp, or PhD with 2-3 years exp.
  • Needs person to be able to hit the ground running.
  • Will be dividing time in lab and meetings.

MUST HAVE:

  • Mammalian CHO Cell Culture experience, Molecular Biology (years of experience based on education level listed above).

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for an open position within the Cell Line Development (CLD) team creating recombinant CHO cell lines to support research and preclinical development programs within Client.

  • The person in this role will work in a high-performing, fast-paced collaborative environment supporting end-to-end development of recombinant CHO cell lines and platform optimization for our future CHO expression platforms.
  • Work will directly support the advancement of projects in Client’s biologics pipeline.
  • Key responsibilities will include sterile cell culture techniques with suspension cultures, pool and clone generation, data assessment and communication, among other things.

Position Overview/Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in generation of engineered mammalian cell lines (transfection pools, clones) expressing candidate biotherapeutics
  • Assist in several studies simultaneously to optimize cell line generation processes.
  • Perform mammalian cell culture techniques: sterile technique, cell counting, passaging, cryopreservation, etc.
  • Perform basic molecular biology techniques: DNA plasmid preparation, PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, etc.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and superb organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and communicate transversally
  • Flexibility, adjusting to a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and willingness to expand and broaden one’s skillset
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data sets to effectively communicate results, progress and plans
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience with data management, consolidation, and presentation
  • Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking and other tasks as determined appropriate
  • Compliance with all applicable regulations, ensure that work performed is conducted in a safe and compliant manner, maintenance of proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies
  • Presentation of data at lab meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master's Degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology or equivalent (preferably in Cellular Biology research).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in suspension culture of CHO cell lines in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting
  • Knowledge of techniques such as cell culture and molecular manipulations
