Description

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional extensions to 5:30 PM to ensure job completion, and some Saturdays as needed.

Must have strong experience in packaging and forklift operation. Reliability and consistent attendance are critical for this role.

The role:

• The Shipper will be responsible for handling, preparation, and all details pertaining to shipping various products, under minimum supervision.
• In this role, the incumbent will also perform loading the cargo into/onto various types of trucks, forklift and packaging experience preferred.

Core responsibilities:

• To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ships products in accordance with shipping orders, completing bills of lading and all other duties.
• Wraps or arranges materials in shipping containers, using various packing materials and observes that products are properly packed.
• Interprets packing specifications and calculates from drawings or measurement of the equipment to be packed the size of the container and dimensions of pieces.
• Selects the correct barrier materials, i.e., cushioning materials, etc., and the required sizes of hardware such as nails, nuts, and bolts, etc.
