Shift - Days Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM

Hours – 40hrs/week

Duties

• Research-focused position requiring familiarity with mammalian cell culture, and standard molecular biology techniques such as cloning and plasmid DNA purification.
• Experience in performing bio-analytical assays (immunological, microbiological, molecular biological, or virological) following defined methods is preferred.
• Experience in small-scale protein expression is beneficial but is not required.
• Initiates, executes, completes, and communicates results and related issues with supervision.
• Accountable for performing all techniques and assays in a manner to yield valid results and to minimize repeated work.
• Perform initial data analysis so that accurate and precise results are obtained, and provide support to team members in data acquisition, reporting, and communication.
• Accurately record all data from research techniques and tests on data capture forms, research notebooks, or raw data notebooks as appropriate.
• Follow Research & Development policies and procedures to maintain high quality standards and follow best practices.

Skills

• Ability to competently perform multiple types of assays (biochemical, molecular and immunological in nature).
• Strict adherence to defined assay method protocols.
• Agility in adapting new types of assays and technologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.   

Education

• BS degree from an accredited institution in a relevant scientific discipline; or Biotechnology Laboratory Methods certification in combination with AS degree and relevant job experience.
