Location: Newark, DE — Majority Onsite, Some Hybrid Flexibility
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (schedule may vary based on workload)
Duration: 24-month contract (potential for temp-to-perm upon leadership approval)

Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled Drone/Robotics Operator to support our electric utility inspection programs. This role involves fieldwork across the client territory (South Jersey to DC), implementing drone technology for asset inspection, tracking progress, and ensuring safety and efficiency across multiple programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate drones to inspect electric utility assets and identify defects or degradation.

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and document program processes.

• Track and report progress, savings, and ROI from drone-based inspections.

• Ensure compliance with FAA and local airspace regulations.

• Support the integration of drone use across multiple inspection programs.

Must-Have Skills

• Electric Utility Experience: Ability to identify and assess electric assets and damage severity.

• FAA Part 107 Certification: Required for drone operation; must know airspace regulations.

• Program Management: Ability to build tracking systems and standardize procedures with SMEs.

• Technical Tools: Experience using DJI Pilot, PIX4D, DJI Terra.

• Physical Readiness: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and on uneven terrain.

• Safety First Mindset: Commitment to human and asset safety at all times.

• Strong Communication: Able to engage stakeholders and promote drone program adoption.
