Additional Notes: -2 Contractors needed, 1 role will be to support the CHRO and 1 role will be to support HRLT (3 VPs, 2 Directors). -Role will be onsite 5 days per week, candidates must be local to Akron, OH. -Possibility of contract to hire. -SASS testing in person will be required prior to interviews. Responsibilities include: • Coordinating general office functions and providing multifaceted support to the CHRO. • Maintaining a complex calendar on a daily basis • Handling general SAP and ELM administrative work • Researching, prioritizing, and following up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Executive, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determining appropriate course of action, referral, or response. • Interacting frequently with FirstEnergy Executives, other Stakeholders, and high-profile external visitors; providing high quality service and support • Performing various general office duties involving record and file maintenance (electronic and hard copy), travel arrangements and expense reporting, scheduling meetings and conference calls, mail distribution, receiving and directing visitors and telephone reception • Preparing correspondence and presentations • Developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets • Using excellent communication skills with good judgment • Anticipating needs and delivering results consistently • Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety including maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Minimum 10 years work experience required. Previous experience providing support to a senior executive preferred. • Must pass company Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). SAP experience required. • Strong internet research skills required • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Experience in SAP for corporate check processing, expense reporting, time reporting and Concur travel system is preferred • Excellent customer service skills • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail • Ability to independently prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work in pressure situations • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships • Model active learning through continuing to develop breadth of knowledge, skills, and perspective • Must have the ability to lead by example • Must have the ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including all levels of employees, FirstEnergy Foundation Trustees, customers and external partners • Exceptional teamwork skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, yet maintain a continued focus on the details required to perform the essential functions of the job • Proven ability to handle a high degree of confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response • Ability to effectively build relationships and maintain positive interactions with all levels of employees • Ability to work independently on special assignments as directed by management • Ability to make recommendations for process improvements, as necessary
