Description

Research Scientist(contract), Pre-Pivotal Biologics Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency with CRISPR nuclease screening.
  • Experience with NGS library preparation and INDEL calling using Illumina sequencing platforms.
  • Lead TLA and long-read sequencing efforts using PacBio and/or Oxford Nanopore technologies.
  • Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation.
  • Willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
  • Contribute to written technical reports, Regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • B.S/M.S. and ?10 years, Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).
  • Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience in statistics and data analysis (e.g. JMP, Spotfire).
  • Experience designing, constructing, and evaluating vectors to express recombinant proteins of various formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and adhere to timelines.
  • Ability to think critically and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
