Electrical Engineer III (Electrical Test / Design Verification)

Location: Onsite – Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 months
Start Date: Jan 5, 2026

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to support hardware validation and design verification for next-generation AR/VR consumer electronics. This role focuses on developing and executing electrical test systems, analyzing results, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and support electrical validation and performance testing across the product lifecycle

  • Develop and maintain automated and manual test systems (hardware + software)

  • Analyze test data, track progress, and present results in reviews and reports

  • Troubleshoot hardware, instrumentation, and test failures; drive root cause and corrective actions

  • Collaborate with EE, firmware, mechanical, and research teams

  • Support Electrical Design Verification (DVE) testing and prototype bring-up

  • Design and layout breakout PCB boards

  • Write scripts/code to automate testing and data collection

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of electrical hardware testing experience (consumer electronics preferred)

  • Strong EE fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with schematic and board design (Cadence Orcad, Altium, or equivalent)

  • Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators

  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL

  • Experience with MATLAB or similar tools

  • Knowledge of test automation, DOE, and statistical analysis

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics

  • Exposure to mechanical test systems

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or cloud-based data platforms

  • Experience supporting lab or factory bring-up

  • Background in AR/VR, wearables, or low-power consumer devices
