Proposed Job Title: Material Handler

Daily Work Schedule Expectations Rotative Shift Mon-Fri 7:30-4PM or 10am to 6:30PM – weekends 6am to 2:30PM

Purpose:

  • Supplies and movement of materials to areas such as manufacturing among others.
  • Coordinates and documents the entry and exit of material using the system.
  • Makes sure to maintain an appropriate level of materials in the storage area.

Responsibilities:

List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.

  • Prepares, palletizes, and identifies the materials to be located.
  • Transfers and locates palletized materials to the general storage areas and ensures that an appropriate level of storage is maintained.
  • Dispatch miscellaneous materials for the areas of manufacturing, and / or support departments.
  • Complete the documentation and data entry corresponding to the movement of materials in the inventory control system.
  • Receives and dispatches components for production orders according to the current itinerary to the assigned areas.
  • Maintains assigned area of responsibility according to the Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) on order, cleanliness, and safety.

Qualifications:

List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience

  • High School Diploma /Associate degree (preferrable)
  • 1 year of experience in material handling and/or functional warehouse areas (receipt, storage, dispatch)
  • Experience in driving and inspecting forklifts (electrical or manual) and material handling.
  • Attention to detail, great communication skills, time management
  • Basic skills in math and computer systems, such as SAP.
  • Ability to work in an environment of multiple and changing priorities, where the employee may be attending more than one functional area.
  • Pharmaceutical environment experience (cGMP).

 Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

  • High School Diploma /Associate degree
  • 1 year of experience in material handling and/or functional warehouse areas (receipt, storage, dispatch)
