Job Summary

• The position is for a laboratory technical aid for Upstream technical operations. The candidate should have a minimum BS degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology).
• They should have knowledge in aseptic techniques for cell culture, understanding of cell culture in bioreactors is a plus, knowledge in safety regulations in a lab environment, understanding of standard operating procedures and good laboratory practices (GLP).
• They should have skills for teamwork, troubleshooting and scientific critical thinking. Experience in pharmaceutical company is also a plus,

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:

Include the essential duties and/or responsibilities of the position. Each essential function must support the objective of the job.

• Perform testing following procedures, methods and specifications within the required time frame.
• Provide support in process validation and optimization
• Record and organize laboratory data
• Work with laboratory scale bioreactors including cleaning, assembly and calibration of probes
• Prepare process solutions such as cell culture media
• Perform the general cleaning/maintenance of laboratory equipment such as bioreactors, incubators, refrigerators as required per procedures.
• Maintain the materials, reagents, and media inventory required in the laboratory.
• Comply with all training certifications as required by position requirements.

Education, Qualifications and Experience Requirements (degree, certifications, etc.):

• Minimum requirement: Associate degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology or related field)
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Natural sciences (Biology/biochemistry/industrial biotechnology or related field)

• Process development
• Research/ Investigation Experience at University is a plus
• Mamalian cell culture

Daily Work Schedule Expectations: Monday to Friday – 1st shift / 2nd shift or weekends if needed

Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? If yes, how many hours, what impact to scheduled working hours? 5 days/week 40 hours/week, overtime required as needed to support projects, needs to be able to work on weekends.

• Teams environment
• Pharmaceutical experience in chemical Lab
• AD/BA in Chemical, micro, biology, molecular biology
• If AD/BA in chemical process must have experience
• Preferred experience in pharma
• Candidates can be entry level
