Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Frederick, Maryland

Position Overview:

  • Client is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team.
  • The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing procurement data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization.
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Client’s mission of improving patient outcomes through innovative procurement strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

 

  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze procurement data, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into procurement metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and measure progress against goals.

 

Cost Savings Initiatives:

 

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis, market research, and supplier negotiations.
  • Support strategic sourcing projects aimed at optimizing supplier relationships, reducing costs, and improving overall value for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.

 

Supplier Management:

 

  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers, conducting supplier assessments and due diligence as needed.
  • Monitor supplier performance against key metrics and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support supplier relationship management activities, including regular business reviews and performance discussions.

 

Contract Management:

  • Assist in the management of procurement contracts, including contract review, negotiation, and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve contract-related issues and mitigate risks.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance procurement capabilities and support organizational growth objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management principles.
  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
