Summary:

• This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccines Early Bioprocess Analytical Development group.
• The individual will perform routine sample testing, analytical method development and assay qualification studies in support of early vaccine development.
• Assays are primarily based on high performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS), but other analytical techniques will be used as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform sample preparation and testing in support of vaccine development, including bioprocess and formulation development, release, stability, characterization, and adjuvant compatibility studies.
• Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions from sample testing and method development/qualification experiments using an electronic laboratory notebook.

Skills:

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation relevant to protein biochemistry. Ability to follow and adapt scientific protocols with attention to detail.
• Strong documentation and data interpretation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good working knowledge of protein biochemistry. Experience with HPLC and/or mass spectrometry plus.

Education/Experience:

• Degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 0-2 years experience required.
