Description

This role will be fully onsite 5 days a week

Crispr CAS-9 is a plus, but they need motivation to pick it up if they don’t have exp in it  (Quick learner), at minimum need to come from microbiology, qPCR, western blot heavy background.

 

Duties:

  • Client is currently seeking a talented and motivated Scientist to join our Immuno-Oncology Group in Oncology Research Department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility.
  • The successful candidate will actively contribute to the cell line engineering and cell modeling, utilizing advanced molecular biological technology, include facilitating target identification and validation, accelerating drug candidate screening (both small molecules and biologics), and elucidating mechanisms of action.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under manager’s close supervision, using standard molecular biology techniques to conduct experiments aimed at establishing and validating various cell lines tailored toward specific project need
  • Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments efficiently
  • Analyze data and effectively communicate results
  • Desire to learn advanced technologies to expand scientific knowledge and technical skills

 

Requirements: 

  • Must have good understanding of basic scientific principles and research practices
  • Industry experience is preferred.
  • Extensive research experience using molecular biology techniques, including aseptic cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9, genomic DNA extraction/RNA purification, PCR, molecular cloning, transfection, transduction, RT-qPCR, Western Blot etc.
  • Experience with designing multi-color flow cytometry panels, cell sorting, and data analysis using FlowJo is a plus.
  • Research experience in immunology and viral vector construction is a plus. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field.
