Job Description

  • The Portfolio Management Program Manager is a critical role within Client’s Data Center Development & Strategy team.
  • This position acts as a central conduit for strategic direction and business operations, directly supporting site development and enablement for Client’s expanding data center capacity needs.
  • Knowledge of the development process is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program management for the Site Development team, focusing on process development, efficiency improvements, and portfolio management systems.
  • Drive the development of work-back schedules and related tooling and process improvements, working with consultants who are designing and building updated systems.
  • Oversee and communicate greenfield site and lease portfolio status and objectives to leadership, cross-functional teams, and the business.
  • Develop and manage consistent project data extraction from Site Development scope areas to feed the process of data center selections.
  • Identify and implement Site Development process improvements to ensure consistency and quality in approach and reporting, and centralize approval processes.
  • Oversee the Site Selection Portfolio and Pipeline, including managing schedule development and portfolio status reporting.
  • Develop and implement new processes and tools to handle increased volume and improve efficiency in site development.
  • Work with the team to automate supply planning and portfolio health reviews through asset management systems and dashboards.
  • Build strong, trusting partnerships to mobilize people and influence across a broad range of partners, leaders, and organizations.
  • Identify areas of risk and oversee development of mitigation strategies with subject matter experts.
  • Oversee roll-out of new tools, processes, and workflows, regularly updating Site Development stakeholders and leaders on progress and challenges/risks. 

Minimum Years of Experience: 10 +

Must-Have Skills

  • Background in real estate environment (less construction, more up-front real estate on a high level, civil engineering processes)
  • Program Process development: building data management tools and process improvement, to improve portfolio, facilitate alignment with partners, data input/reporting alignments, xfn comms, acting as process development facilitators
