MEP Construction Superintendent (Power Projects)

Location: 5001 Campus Drive, College Park, MD 20740 (Multiple Federal Sites)
Duration: Long-term project (1–4 years depending on site)

Role Overview

We are hiring experienced MEP Superintendents to lead construction activities for a federal project involving installation of natural gas boiler plants across 5 buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and direct General Foremen

• Manage MEP installation work (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)

• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and as per project plans

• Coordinate across teams and maintain project progress

• Prepare basic reports and updates

Required Experience

• 10+ years in construction (power/industrial projects preferred)

• 5+ years managing or directing craft labor

• Strong experience in MEP systems (especially boiler or power-related work)

Must-Have Skills

• Team leadership and site supervision

• Basic knowledge of MS Word & Excel

• Ability to write clear reports in English

Work Schedule

• Onsite role with shift flexibility required

• May include night/weekend shifts (rotation basis)

• Typical schedule: ~40 hours/week (with possible overtime)

Security Requirements

• Able to obtain HSPD-12 badge (~1 month process)

• Top Secret clearance is a strong plus

Additional Info

• Overtime paid at 1.5x

• No travel reimbursement (negotiable for cell phone)

• Candidates with federal/military project experience preferred
