Description

You’ll be installing and managing pump equipment at construction sites, operating machinery, and ensuring everything runs safely and correctly

 

The Role:

  • The Field Operator will be responsible for supporting the delivery, installation, and operation of client equipment on client Service Center sites and/or customer job sites.
  • In this role, the incumbent will also maintain a clean and orderly work site environment to enable safe and efficient movement of workers and motorized equipment throughout the site.

Core Responsibilities:

  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Identify all items to be delivered or picked up with customer to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform visual inspection of equipment being picked up and note any damage. Obtain customer’s signature on appropriate paperwork. Utilize motorized equipment handling machinery to safely load equipment on and off trucks and trailers.
  • Ensure pumping system and pipeline meet operational requirements. Understand and react to how weather conditions effect HDPE fusion.
  • Prepare electronic work orders. Understand priming systems, options, remote systems, and A-91 panels. Apply proper measurements (center-to-center or face-to-face) to HDPE pipe. Calculate angles to ensure proper installation.
  • Perform vacuum checks on installed pumping systems.
  • Perform proper sequencing to break down pump systems and pipelines to avoid spills and/or contamination to surrounding work area.
  • Properly flush systems.
  • Participation in client Watermark volunteer activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school or general equivalency degree.
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.).
  • Prior experience operating heavy industrial equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, air tuggers, etc.
  • Prior experience fusing HDPE pipe ranging from 2 inch to 48 inch. Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to respond to customer emergencies.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair simple mechanical issues.
  • 1-3 years experience
