Description
Location: On-site at the Long Island office, 5 days per week
Duration: 3 months with potential to extend, but not convert
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
MUST HAVES
- Answer switchboard calls, direct individuals as they come in to the office, forwarding calls.
- Capable of working independently, but knows when to reach out for assistance when needed.
- 1-3 years of experience as a receptionist Experience in Outlook, and TEAMS, must be able to form calendar invites, book conference rooms, use TEAMS for document uploads and chat.
- Have a professional and polished demeanor
Description
- Primary responsibilities include greeting guests, vendors, job applicants, and other visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- The receptionist will manage incoming calls at the front desk, route calls to the appropriate parties, and ensure a positive first impression of the organization.
- Additional duties may include arranging conference room reservations, coordinating food deliveries, scheduling transportation services, and providing general administrative support as needed.
- Strong communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, and a polished, professional presence are essential for success in this role.
- A High School diploma and relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years of receptionist experience required
- Education: High School diploma required
- Industry Background: Open to candidates from any industry
Preferred Skills:
- Strong multitasking ability
Exclusions:
- Candidates with primarily customer service backgrounds (e.g., call center or front desk roles) are not ideal, as this position is strictly internal
Additional Requirements
- On-site role, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch period
