Business & Systems Analysis

  • Lead end to end business analysis activities for large, complex initiatives across the full solution lifecycle.
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and manage functional and non functional requirements using structured, industry standard methodologies.
  • Document current state and future state processes, identifying optimization opportunities, gaps, risks, and dependencies.
  • Translate business needs into clear business and functional specifications that support scalable system designs.

Meter to Cash & Utility Domain Expertise

Serve as a subject matter expert in Meter to Cash, with required functional depth in one or more of the following areas:

  • Billing
  • Supplier Services
  • Service Orders
  • Finance
  • Apply working knowledge of utility customer systems (e.g., Customer/1 and related platforms) to guide solution design and analysis.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure regulatory, operational, and customer requirements are fully addressed.

Data, Systems & Testing Leadership

Leverage strong data analysis skills, including:

  • Writing and reviewing SQL queries
  • Analyzing batch and online processing results
  • Investigating system and data errors across environments
  • Develop and lead requirements driven test strategies.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end to end testing, including defect triage, root cause analysis, and remediation support.
  • Support implementation readiness through production validation, reconciliation, and post deployment verification.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide functional leadership and mentorship to other Business Analysts.
  • Proactively identify cross project impacts, risks, and interdependencies and drive them to resolution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, product owners, and technical teams.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT or enterprise environments.
  • 10+ years of hands on experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Extensive experience operating within SDLC / Agile / hybrid delivery models.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Highly Desired Experience

  • Customer / Customer Experience (CX) focus, including experience with Customer/1 or similar utility CIS platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Meter to Cash processes within a regulated utility environment.
  • Experience working in large scale utility (Gas and/or Electric) transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency with analysis and modeling tools (e.g., MS Visio, requirements management tools).
  • Proficiency with project tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Xray, SharePoint).
  • Industry certifications such as CBAP, IIBA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
