Sr Graphic Designer (Social Designer position)
Alameda, CA-100% Onsite-
We are seeking a talented and versatile Sr Graphic Designer to create engaging,on-brand visual content for our social channels.
- As a senior designer, you will take ownership of day-to-day content creation while collaborating with marketing strategists, copywriters, and creative leads.
- This role is ideal for someone with strong design fundamentals,experience making social-first content, and a passion for staying ahead of digital trends.
Role Focus
- Hybrid content creator + design background role
- Strong emphasis on social content for Meta, Facebook, and Instagram
Preferences & Flexibility
- Must have candidate onsite- no remote workers for this role-
- Manager is open to a 32-hour workweek

Preferred:
- Previous agency experience (these candidates are highly flexible with brand aesthetics)
- Experience with health, wellness, or wearables (not required but always a plus)
- Ability to balance corporate brand consistency with engaging native social content
- Be able to strike a balance between heavily branded content and native content—maintaining consistency with brand positioning ensuring brand consistency without compromising the site's look and feel
Sr Graphic Designer (Social Designer position)
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality social media content including static graphics, carousels, stories, reels, thumbnails, and paid social ads.
- Translate brand guidelines into visually engaging assets tailored to each platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
- Contribute creative ideas to campaigns, content calendars, and organic or paid initiatives.
- Produce short-form videos and motion graphics using platform-native tools or editing software.
- Maintain consistency across all visual touchpoints while bringing fresh, creative concepts to social content.
- Stay current on design trends, platform updates, and real-time cultural moments that can inspire new content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure visuals align with messaging and campaign goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in social media design, digital design, or content creation roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first design, motion graphics, and short-form video work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and/or editing tools
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling, typography, layout, and mobile-first content design.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and content performance drivers.
- Ability to take creative direction while also initiating ideas independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience creating motion graphics or animated content.
- Familiarity with paid social creative requirements and performance optimization.
- Experience collaborating with copywriters, strategists, or community managers.
- Interest in digital trends, pop culture, and evolving platform behaviors.
