Description

Hours: Daytime; Part-time (4-6 hours)

Total Reg Hours:    20.00

Work schedule can be 4 or 5 days depending on workload.

Education: minimum HSD

  • Someone with lab experience would be preferred.
  • Familiar with lab safety protocol.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Capable of moving and handling large containers of oil and related fluids (preferred).
  • Ability to interact frequently with a variety of functions, such as scientists, building maintenance, shipping/receiving personnel, safety personnel.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be comfortable using Excel, Outlook, Word, basic MicroSoft suite programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash laboratory glassware and distribute to various lab personnel
  • Maintain chemical inventory
  • Maintain supply of solvents and materials needed by scientists
  • Maintain inventory of basic laboratory supplies, such as paper towels, gloves, pipettes, soap, etc...
  • Manage the waste disposal of chemicals used within the group
  • Management of fleet test samples and test results
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of test samples
  • Administration of quality documentation
  • Work with all lab personnel to maintain an organized and safe lab environment
  • Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety inspections and monthly safety meetings.
