Description
Hours: Daytime; Part-time (4-6 hours)
Total Reg Hours: 20.00
Work schedule can be 4 or 5 days depending on workload.
Education: minimum HSD
- Someone with lab experience would be preferred.
- Familiar with lab safety protocol.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Capable of moving and handling large containers of oil and related fluids (preferred).
- Ability to interact frequently with a variety of functions, such as scientists, building maintenance, shipping/receiving personnel, safety personnel.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be comfortable using Excel, Outlook, Word, basic MicroSoft suite programs.
Responsibilities:
- Wash laboratory glassware and distribute to various lab personnel
- Maintain chemical inventory
- Maintain supply of solvents and materials needed by scientists
- Maintain inventory of basic laboratory supplies, such as paper towels, gloves, pipettes, soap, etc...
- Manage the waste disposal of chemicals used within the group
- Management of fleet test samples and test results
- Assist with shipping and receiving of test samples
- Administration of quality documentation
- Work with all lab personnel to maintain an organized and safe lab environment
- Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety inspections and monthly safety meetings.
