Description
Rangam is seeking multiple 1st shift Equipment Operators / Assembly Associates for an opportunity with one of our banking client in the Chicago area. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy structured work, have strong attention to detail, and are interested in gaining experience in financial operations.
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
Position Summary
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced production environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, maintain accuracy while handling repetitive tasks, and contribute positively to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare work for digitization by extracting payments and documents from mailing envelopes.
- Sort, organize, and assemble payment documents, invoices, checks, remittance materials, and other records.
- Prepare documents for scanning, imaging, and processing.
- Operate high-volume scanning and processing equipment while ensuring image and document quality.
- Input, validate, and reconcile data and electronic records with paper documentation.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with processing requirements.
- Identify, resolve, or escalate missing, incomplete, or non-routine items to supervisors as appropriate.
- Follow standard operating procedures, customer-specific instructions, security requirements, and compliance guidelines.
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain productivity, quality, and accuracy standards while meeting individual and team goals.
- Cross-train and learn additional processing functions and equipment operations as needed.
- Support other operational and production functions as assigned.
- Lift and move mail trays, boxes, or files weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience required; training provided.
- Ability to pass a background check and credit check.
- Ability to work in a high-security production environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and general PC usage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data entry, document processing, mailroom operations, records management, administrative support, customer service, healthcare administration, financial operations, or document management.
- Experience handling confidential documents.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to handle and sort large volumes of documents.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
