Position Title: Scientist III

Number of Positions Needed: 3
Length of Contract: 1 year

100% Onsite, or Hybrid Onsite Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

• Product development science and technology group 
• Supports process development in the lab activities and then tech transfer of the process to commercial scale or clinical scale
• Working with commercial products
• Focus is parenteral and  injectable formulation
• more specifically or preferably to be biologics.
• Experince with injectable small molecule experience
• Handson lab experince
• Being able to design a small experiment, design the studies
• working with liquid product and lyophilized product,
• Someone with lyophilization experience is a plus
• Some lipid nanoparticle process development is plus
• compounding steps, pH, I would say Karl Fischer
• Familiar with lyophilization and a lyophilizer is a huge plus
• hands-on experience in the lab with compounding, filtration, filling process, TFF is required
• lab experience with a compounding parenteral formulation and pH, Karl Fischer, osmometer, densitometer, these standard techniques
• HPLC or chromatography in general, in this role on a daily basis is plus
• Working with ELN
• Working experince with Minitab for data analysis is plus
• PHD with something from pharmaceutical sciences, the Chemical engineering side will work
• Industry experience experince is preferred
• overqualification is depnedes on the resume
• This is more on the lab side
• We will do work with the tech transfer team in the manufacturing
• Will be working on the drug products and working with the chemicals
• working with pH, viscosity, density, Karl Fischer, protein concentration through UV-VIS,
• The relocation candidate will work
• parenteral drug product development experince
• PHD with 5 years of experince can be overqualified
• Working with small molecule injectable, monoclonal antibody, ADC antibody drug conjugate
• Focus is on biologics, and has small molecules 

What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education, with typically or more years’ experience or Master’s degree or equivalent education with 3 years’ experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences,or similar area.(PhD with 0+ years' experience acceptable).
• Supporting the process development of parenteral drug products
• Design and execute studies evaluating the stability (chemical & physical) of biologics against solution conditions (pH, ionic strength, temperature, light, moisture, etc.) and physical stresses arising from manufacturing process conditions (freeze thaw, mixing, filtration, filling, and lyophilization), to develop robust
• dosage forms. 
• Interpret results and draw conclusions from own multistage experiments, note significant deviations, then suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments.
• Demonstrated scientific writing skills and strong verbal communication skills.

Job Description

• Product Development Science and Technology (PDS&T) is seeking a motivated Scientist, specifically for parenteral drug product process development and commercial site scale up and tech transfer.
• The candidate will independently design and execute lab studies to develop robust manufacturing processes for clinical phase and commercial products.
• This person will generate and analyze precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner, independently or under the direction of a more senior scientific leader.
• This position will be an integral part of the product development and CMC teams.
