Description
9 AM to 5 PM Monday – Friday
The selected IT Business Analyst will support the IT PMO in implementing similar projects, contributing to the development of innovative and impactful solutions.
Services Desired:
Client seeks an experienced consultant that can:
- Analyze Business Needs — Evaluate current processes, workflows, and pain points to identify gaps, opportunities, and high-value improvements that align with organizational goals while strengthen business partner relationships.
- Document Business Requirements — Produce clear, structured business requirement documents (BRDs) that capture objectives, scope, constraints, and stakeholder expectations with precision.
- Define Functional Requirements — Translate business needs into detailed functional requirement specifications (FRDs) that guide design, development, and testing teams.
- Facilitate Stakeholder Interviews — Conduct interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather insights, validate assumptions, and ensure requirements reflect real operational needs.
- Perform Requirements Analysis — Break down complex information, identify dependencies, evaluate feasibility, reconcile conflicts between different sources of information and ensure requirements are complete, consistent, and meet the business’ needs.
- Create Process Documentation — Develop process maps, user flows, and system diagrams to visualize current and future-state operations.
- Manage Requirements Traceability — Maintain a traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are tracked from definition through testing and implementation.
- Collaborate With Technical Teams — Partner with developers, architects, and QA teams to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and support solution design. Understand application programming, databases, system design, technical specifications, and system architectures (Internet, Intranet, Extranet, client/server).
- Support User Acceptance Testing — Assist in creating test cases, validating functionality against requirements, and documenting defects or gaps.
- Prepare Clear Documentation— Produce high-quality documentation including use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and system specifications.
- Practice Industry Standards— Independently engage with clients while incorporating guidance from leadership, consistently applying supervisor feedback and adhering to established project and industry standards.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a business, communications, or technology-related field.
- 6+ years of experience in specifying, analyzing, and documenting requirements for mission-critical business applications in a web/client-server environment.
- Strong facilitation skills and proven experience in driving consensus across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Expertise using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and confidently with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to interpret business needs and translate them into application requirements.
- Process-driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.
- Proficiency with Waterfall, RUP, and Agile SDLC processes.
- Ability to accurately estimate level of work to be provided for delivery commitments to stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Experience for Consultant Candidates:
- Effective presentation and leadership skills.
- Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, and MS SharePoint Server.
- Previous experience building/supporting applications built in Salesforce
