100% onsite
12-month contract to start with possible extensions up to 24 months
Worksite address:, Hiawatha, IA
Need candidate who can hit the ground running, troubleshooter, mechanical aptitude, build boxes, work independently
Education:
- Minimum HS Diploma
Experience:
- 3-5 years' experience
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
- B.S. (required) or M.S. (preferred) with specialization in turf (desired) and ornamental (required) plant growth and culture.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills to allow positive interaction with internal and external groups.
- Project management and organization skills are desirable.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated high academic achievement-GPA 3.0+
- Authorization to work in the US without restrictions
- Team orientation - Flexible/adaptable
- Ethical, trustworthy, and reliable
- Strong communication kills and interpersonal understanding
- Research, Demonstration and/or Extension Experience
- Valid & current drivers license

Position Summary:
- Client is actively seeking qualified applicants for a Technical Support Specialist (TSS).
- The successful applicant will conduct field and greenhouse evaluations of turf and ornamental plants.
Activities will involve:
- Establishing, maintaining and coordinating technical projects or demonstrations to ensure customer satisfaction and success with Company products.
- Providing technical expertise to the SPD Turf and Ornamentals (T&O) Business Unit.
- Working closely with Market Development, Product Development, Marketing and Management to build momentum and the best technical position for products prior to and after product introduction to the market.
- Obtaining technical product support data, training, and product features/benefits to the SPD T&O Sales & Marketing teams, Customer Service, and to customers.
