Temp to Hire
Shift Hours: 40 hours and typical 7:30am-4:30pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain engineering documents and drawings in electronic, soft-copy, and hard-copy formats.
- Maintain mill equipment numbers, drawing numbers, and document control records.
- Oversee and maintain drawing documentation standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Support the Engineering Manager and other department leaders with documentation and drawing needs as required.
- Enter and update spare parts information in Integrity as needed.
- Maintain equipment records, including machine operating manuals, maintenance lists, and related files.
- Coordinate with project engineers, engineering firms, operations, maintenance, and contractors to fulfill drawing and document requests.
- Develop new drawings and revise existing drawings in AutoCAD as required.
- Prepare plan layouts and other drawings to support improvement projects and modifications.
- Assist with coordinating data and documentation for capital projects.
- Maintain the documentation room for efficient drawing storage and retrieval.
- Operate and coordinate upkeep of plotter and copier equipment used by the drawing office.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software; experience with 3D modeling software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documents, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, and members of management.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collect information, evaluate facts, and draw sound conclusions.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn proprietary systems such as JDE.
Education/Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of related manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
