Description

Job Title: Facilities & Manufacturing Project Manager

Location: Pewaukee, WI (Onsite required; offices on Roundy Drive and Paul Road,  both on the same campus)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm or 7:30am – 4:00pm

Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver key facilities and manufacturing projects at our Pewaukee campus.
  • This is not an IT-focused project management role; candidates must have hands-on experience running facilities projects and ideally some background in manufacturing environments.
  • The successful candidate will drive—rather than support—the execution of overlapping, high-impact projects that are critical to our operations: an office remodel involving all employees, a large-scale document digitization initiative, and a warehouse redesign.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors is essential.
  • We are looking for a highly autonomous, self-motivated project manager who is comfortable making decisions, managing multiple moving parts, and keeping diverse teams aligned.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Deliver Projects:

  • Manage 2 concurrent facilities projects (an office remodel and document digitization initiative) and 1 manufacturing/warehouse redesign project.
  • Oversee project life cycles from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the single-point-of-contact for internal teams and external vendors.

Team Coordination:

  • For the office remodel, communicate project plans and logistics to all site employees (~85 people).
  • For digitization and warehouse redesign, manage smaller cross-functional teams (10–12 members per project), including engineering, customer service, and applications leads.

Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements; escalate issues as appropriate.

Document Management:

  • Oversee the evaluation, cataloging, and destruction/archive of physical documents in compliance with proprietary information protection standards.

Planning & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track deliverables and document all requirements, progress, and changes.

Issue Identification:

  • Proactively identify potential problems, mitigate risks, and resolve issues as they arise.

Resource Management:

  • Organize project teams, assign tasks, and maintain balanced personnel resources according to project phases.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3–5 years managing facilities and/or manufacturing projects (not IT).
  • Experience in hands-on, high-communication project environments is essential.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects with minimal oversight.
  • Experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is NOT required, but real-world facilities project management experience is required.

Project Tools & Methodologies:

  • Tool and methodology preferences (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Agile, Waterfall) will be determined; comfort with standard PM tools is expected.

Travel:

  • No significant travel; most work occurs on the same campus (offices are a 1-minute drive/5-minute walk apart).

Work Environment:

  • Will eventually have a dedicated workspace at the Paul Road location; flexibility required during phased renovations.

Success Profile

  • You are comfortable working independently—able to “hit the ground running” with minimal daily supervision.
  • You excel at building trust and aligning large groups (everyone from executives to technicians and vendors).
  • You thrive in environments where you must juggle priorities, clarify requirements, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Capable of hands-on problem solving, especially with legacy paper/document processes.
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
  • Lead projects, tasked with developing, delivering, and supporting solutions while managing project development activities and providing tactical direction.
  • Develop and maintain project plans for multiple initiatives and help ensure that project activities are completed within desired timelines and budgets.
  • Create project business requirements documents and maintain these and all other project artifacts to reflect the current version of each solution.
  • Identify potential problem areas.
  • Organize and control team activities, manage personnel assignments, and maintain a balanced resource plan.
  • 3-5 years experience
