What You’ll Do:

  • As a hands-on designer you will build concepts executing the visual strategy for our brands across multiple consumer touchpoints including packaging, promotional materials, visual communications, eCommerce, social media, etc.
  • Ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced consistently and creatively.
  • Communicate and justify conceptual and directional choices.
  • Be accountable for excellent execution.
  • You will need an overall understanding of the creative design process to bring your ideas to life.
  • You will collaborate with other likeminded creatives and multidisciplinary teams to support the business needs.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Graphic Design or similar field.
  • 2-6 years of full-time design work experience (outside of freelance work).
  • A portfolio that demonstrates mastery in design principles and brand identity.
  • Your portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, independent ideation, problem-solving and technical mastery.
  • Must have a Passion for beauty, with an understanding of category trends and the competitive landscape.
  • A keen eye and attention to detail is critical to win in the beauty category.
  • Uses Empathy and non-linear thinking: Must be able to see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind.
  • Experience in designing for digital, packaging, and instore displays with a basic understanding of print feasibility.
  • Knowledge of digital UX/UI design principles and a familiarity with AI-enabled tools used in creating quick prototypes, design iterations, enhancing ideation speed and creativity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to justify your conceptional and directional design choices with multi-functional partners.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
  • Flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Able to engage and influence across functional partners.
  • Disciplined with superior time and project management skills; possess the ability to set priorities and be accountable.
  • Expertise in the latest graphics and business programs: Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Graphic design requires intelligence, knowledge, talent and skill and an affinity for images, words and media.
  • Graphic designers create layouts and designs for logos, packaging, advertising, marketing collateral and other published materials in print and online.
  • They are responsible for selecting and arranging artwork, creating illustrations, choosing colors and influencing the concept for the design.
  • They also conduct press checks. Knowledge of the latest graphic design software is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are important, as they frequently interact with other creative team members, such as production artists, writers, art directors and creative directors.
  • Has intermediate skills in UI design and mid-level knowledge of UI design principles as well as some experience in design delivery and UI research.
  • Ensures the quality and consistency in UI design deliverables, which can include mockups and clickable prototypes, design systems, assets for development handoff, simple animations, and anything else the product team might need. Able to interpret brand guidelines into digital UI for their product.
  • Has mid-level knowledge of UI research, including competitive analysis, A/B testing, accessibility and anything else the product team might need.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Designer (UX) partner in wireframe and design decision handoff, as well as with the software engineers on their team, focusing on smoothly handing off assets for development and facilitating UI reviews of the live code.
  • Has the opportunity to upskill in design leadership through team process initiatives, lead communication with stakeholders, and establish UI design practices.

Graphic designers create visual content for print and digital media.

  • They design layouts, images, and illustrations for advertisements, websites, brochures, and other marketing materials.
